National Deaf Interpreter
The National Deaf Interpreting (NDI) is a non-profit nationwide organization, which debuted in 2017 at the 2nd Deaf Interpreter Conference (DIC) in Philadelphia, PA. The first DIC conference was held in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 2015. This was monumental. The participants were inspired by participating in this initial opportunity as this was the first time Deaf interpreters came together to collaborate with each other. We share our own ideas and practices and the same common goals about interpreting. Thus, it led us to establish a professional Deaf interpreters’ organization
